When not well planned, you can easily overdo the protein with not enough fat with steak dishes.

Ingredients
  

  • 4 (6oz) rib eye steaks
  • 2 tbsp avocado oil
  • 2 tbsp salted butter
  • 1/4 tsp sea salt and black pepper
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tsp fresh thyme

Instructions
 

  • Rub the steaks with avocado oil and season both sides with salt and pepper. Set it aside and let it sit at room temperature for 30 minutes.
  • Preheat the barbecue grill to medium-high.
  • Grill the steaks for 5 minutes per side for medium-rare. Adjust your grilling time to reach the desired doneness.
  • Remove the steaks from the grills and set them on a plate. Let it rest for 10 minutes.
  • In a small skillet over medium-high, melt the butter and saute the garlic and thyme for 1-2 minutes.
  • Top the steaks with the garlic butter and serve.
